Utah Jam Bands Academy is for those who want the experience and education from our summer camps to extend throughout the year. Now you don't have to wait till the summer to rock out with a band! The academy prepares students to play the music they love on stage with a band.  Students involved in the academy are placed into bands and work with their bandmates to prepare music for the concert at the end of the three month period.  

*Please note that we have a set minimum number of registered students we will need to make the academy program feasible. In the event that not enough students register, we will refund any registration fees and postpone the start of the program. (Think a Kickstarter model.)

When

Below is a general schedule of the academy program.  More details will be sent after registration

Rehearsals will run every Wednesday evening February 1st through May 3 from 7:30-9 PM with the following exceptions or addendums: 

  • February 22: A recording session will replace regular rehearsal, and will run longer than normal, 7:00-9:30 PM

  • April 6: No rehearsal for spring break

  • May 3: Our last rehearsal will be our "dress rehearsal" and will run longer than normal, 6:00-9:00 PM 

The final concert will be Friday May 5, 2023 from 7-10 PM.

Who

Musicians aged 8-18 who play guitar, bass, drums, horns or who sing are eligible to sign up for the academy.

We require a beginner-level instrument proficiency, and highly suggest that academy participants are concurrently enrolled in lessons with a private teacher for best results.

Tuition

$450 ($150 per month)

(3 month commitment required)

Payment may be made for all 3 months upfront, or parents may choose to pay the first month's tuition upon registration and be billed for the two following months, with payments due March 5 and April 5. Late fees will apply to late payments.

Rehearsals be held at Murphy's Guitars

(133 N Main St, Bountiful, UT 84010)

​The concert will take place at the Bountiful City Park Stage, 400 N 200 W, Bountiful, UT.
